About This Role
We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join our team in our Central Support Office in Warwick.
This role is responsible for designing, implementing and supporting server and storage based infrastructure within Alliance Medical. The role uses best practice and a security focused approach when designing, implementing or managing server and storage based infrastructure.
The hours per week are 40 Monday to Friday.
Service Delivery – To manage the day to day operations of the server and storage based Infrastructure, providing BAU support and maintenance of all key systems. Working with the Network team, Clinical Systems team and external partners and vendors to ensure the stable and secure delivery of services.
Project Delivery - To manage the delivery of smaller projects originating from within the Infrastructure team. Delivering into larger projects managed by the project office or infrastructure manager.
Governance - To adhere to all Infrastructure related policy and processes ensuring that all work is completed with organisational policies in mind. To ensure that all work comply with internal governance standards and active and future accreditation (ISO 27001, ISAS, GDPR).
Business Continuity – To own and manage the technical aspects of the Disaster Recovery and Backup strategy facilitating regular testing.
Continual Service Improvement – Create and manage a Continual Service Improvement Plan of each of the technical systems, identifying possible improvements to the services delivered by the Infrastructure Team and implementing them.
Capacity Management – To own and manage capacity planning of core IT systems, creating and implementing a review schedule and defining a capacity threshold matrix.
Security – To ensure that all systems are designed and implemented with security and privacy by design. To own and manage all endpoint security systems, mail and web gateways.
