Senior Electronics Test Engineer
Test Engineering Manager
This job will be based at HeartSine’s Heron Road facility in Belfast.
The position will be within the HeartSine R&D department. The role will include determining and defining product test requirements, specifications and methodologies, design and implementation of electronics test systems and support for existing products.

Key Areas Of Responsibility
Take ownership of test engineering projects as follows;
Define test requirements, methods and specifications for new products or other development projects
Work with the product design team to incorporate test requirements into the design
Design, develop and implement electronic test systems utilising a combination of off the shelf equipment and custom equipment PCBAs, and components
Liaise with suppliers of equipment or related components as necessary
Generate engineering documentation in compliance with the relevant standards including design control and SDLC as applicable
Attend and contribute to design review meetings
Validate, verify and qualify electronic test systems against their requirements
Work with project management team to identify and assign timelines to key project deliverables
Mentor/support other team members
Product Sustaining/Manufacturing support
Provide technical support as required
Support continuous improvement activities, escalate problems, document and implement solutions as per procedures
Provide engineering documentation, e.g. work instructions, schematics, BoMs, etc
Support validation activities within the manufacturing environment, e.g. pilot or qualification builds, etc
Comply with company training requirements, attend training sessions when required
Provide training to others if required
Maintain engineering documentation and generate new documentation as required
Input to NC, CAPA and risk assessment activities
Any other duties as deemed necessary by Line or Team Managers
Qualifications Knowledge Skills
3rd level qualification in an electronics discipline
A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working within an electronics design, development, test or manufacturing environment
Understanding of both analogue and digital electronics
Experience with interfacing electronic hardware or equipment to computer systems
Experience with automated electronics test systems
Experience with electronics verification testing
Exposure to C, C++ or C#
Familiarity with quality management systems
Awareness of risk analysis techniques
Using PCBA schematic and layout packages
Competency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook
Capable of producing high quality technical documentation
