We have a new role for a Design Manager to join a sustainability focused off-site construction specialist in its Cambridge office. The post would see you taking a lead role in the growing design team, working in two of the most fastest growing sectors of sustainability and offsite construction.
The company is an award-winning developer who specialises in the off-site manufacturing of education and residential buildings. Working across the design and build process to the point of handover, the design team use the latest building and design technologies to produce high quality, affordable and radically efficient buildings.
Due to plans for expansion they are looking to employ a Design Manager to grow the team.
Role & Responsibilities
Working closely with clients to develop detailed specifications for projects
Lead role in the management of the design department
Co-ordination of the design and technical project stages
Meeting the company standards in the projection of highly accurate technical information
Working with internal and external customers, statutory bodies and design consultants to ensure smooth delivery of the project though all stages.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience of project and team management, including allocation of work loads and project progress.
Experience of working on UK based Education or Residential projects would highly advantages
Working knowledge of construction design and management regulations 2015 is essential
Experience in BIM modelling – ideally in ArchiCAD or Revit would be highly beneficial
Project experience in sustainable, carbon neutral and off-site construction is highly desirable
Own transport essential due to location.
What you get back
Up to £40,000 – £50,000
Standard working day of 9.00am – 5.00pm.
