The candidate would be working in our Server/Network support team, working on Windows Server/Linux/VMWare and network projects & issues.
The Support Engineer will join our highly skilled Server/Network Support Team working together to resolve business-critical IT issues. Playing a key role, the successful Support Engineer will have the opportunity to develop a broad range of technical skills, from network administration to software maintenance.
Based in Oxford the Support Engineer role is commutable by car from many towns and cities in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and Buckinghamshire.
As the Support Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1st, 2nd and 3rd line IT support to our clients
Deliver a high quality service using systems engineering best practice
Problem analysis & resolution across a wide range of systems, services, applications and technologies.
Requirements of the Support Engineer
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a confident, friendly and helpful manner.
Natural problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to tasks.
A genuine interest in being involved in the IT operations environment.
The eagerness and capacity to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
Prior experience in systems support and administration is not essential
