This role will involve working closely with Internal and external stakeholders, In particular supporting the Management and Engineering heads to Initiate, prepare and ensure compliance with the companies Procurement processes.
This will require a close working relationship with the procurement team up to and Including Category Managers as well as having a good working relationship with our key suppliers and Vendors.
The successful candidate will need to understand and be able to manage Capex and Opex projects within SAP to ensure the correct procurement workflows and governance is met.
Support the SP Transmission Operation’s Manager, Planning Manager, Contracts Engineer, Lead Engineers
Working Closely with Internal Stakeholders and the Procurement Team to assist the contracts Engineer with the development of an annual procurement plan.
Assist the Contracts engineer with the Management of the tender progress within the corporate applications, i.e. I Buy, Buying, SAP
Assist the Project Manager / Engineer with the commercial and technical evaluation of any tender returns
Support the development of Framework Specifications and Tender documentation
Ensure Governance is maintained and that the appropriate authorisations are applied to all purchases or tenders.
Assist the QS in managing the post tender award process.
Assist the Contracts Engineer with the Introduction of key sustainability measures across all contracts.
Skills and Requirements
Working knowledge of purchasing process.
Good organisation and planning skills
Good working knowledge of contract terms and conditions.
Computer literacy & working knowledge of Microsoft Packages
Expert Excel user.
Experience of collaboration with contractors.

Experience of working within an engineering or construction related environment.
Working knowledge of project management within SAP
Competent in managing the corporate procurement processes from delegated purchases through to complex Tender awards
Excellent customer and Interpersonal skills
A working knowledge of how budgets are loaded, forecast, and managed within SAP.
