Machinery Pre-Delivery Inspector – Birmingham (West Bromwich)
Starting salary £22,000 + overtime + benefits, with staged increases on completion of training.

AFI are currently recruiting for a Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Engineer to be based at our Birmingham depot.
Under the direction of the Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for completing Pre-Delivery Inspections as required at the depot, and performing other engineering tasks as necessary.
The role in brief
Carrying out inspections, services, repairs, manufacturer updates and maintaining the corporate image of our fleet of rental machines.
Accurately complete all necessary checks using a company issued tablet, following company procedures at all times
Communicate effectively with the engineering team and hire office to make sure that the depot maintains maximum machine availability.
45 hours a week
The ideal candidate:
You should have some mechanical knowledge or aptitude, preferably in a plant machinery or related industry, but more important is the willingness to learn new skills and the ability to follow all health and safety guidelines etc to ensure our equipment is fully functioning and safe for our customers to use.
Full training will be provided.
You will be working closely with customers and colleagues, so you must be able to communicate professionally
You must be able to prioritise tasks in an ever changing demanding hire environment
