Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
Based from our Head office in Bury, Millers Vanguard are looking to add to our busy Installations team as we look to add to it our own Chief Engineer, tasked with ensuring that the high levels of installation work we complete continues and where possible improved and best practice is adhered to within the framework of Installation standard operating procedures (SOP).
This role will involve traveling Nationwide carrying out detailed electromechanical engineering reports along with a wide range of challenging and rewarding projects.
, coupled with the ability to complete detailed and accurate technical reports which will support our commercial department when devices are beyond economical repair, or where more detail is required, and a site survey is deemed necessary.
Our Commercial Team is often tasked (by our supermarket customers) to look at equipment and provide a 3rd party ‘impartial’ technical overview or value engineer issues within their equipment estate, this again would be the role of the chief engineer liaising with our own Research and development team and in-house technical engineers.
To represent the Company in a professional manner at all times and develop good working relationships.
To produce and deliver high quality technical reports.
Assist the Commercial and Logistics Manager to produce written technical work scopes and schedules where required.
Carry out post installation surveys to ensure installation standards are being adhered to.
Undertake any Adhoc duties as necessary and instructed by your line manager.
Creating Standard Operating Procedures and frameworks for our installation teams to work to
Special Features / Attributes:
A strong electromechanical background is essential
Ability to respond promptly to requests/instructions to meet business requirements.
Experience of electromechanical installations for supermarkets (Desirable).
Computer literate, including knowledge of Microsoft programmes including Word and Excel. Excellent communication skills
A flair for problem solving
Current UK driving licence (Clean).
Electrically qualified (City and Guilds / NICEIC)
Previous experience of electromechanical installations or management thereof.
Previous experience of producing S.O.P’s
