About the role

NHS Digital's Platforms team requires software developers to work on our API Strategy. You will specify, design, build and maintain key systems to provide better access to our products and services for NHS Digital and its partners. You will play a critical role in improving health and care for people across the UK.
As part of the role you will be responsible for:
working with the latest technology such as Public Cloud and the top development languages in an Agile / DevOps environment.
collaborating with customers, delivery managers, product owners, systems engineers to deliver features with a high-level of business value.
working on widely distributed, high volume, highly available and secure services.
taking the opportunity to learn and grow, with the view to potentially exploring a range of roles within NHS Digital in the future.
In order to be successful in this role you will have:
a post graduate degree/ diploma or equivalent experience.
knowledge in software development, architecture and design with experience of using appropriate and representative languages, frameworks, platforms and tools.
experience of delivering and operating end-to-end from writing code to operating / maintaining, and continuous improvement.
experience of leading a workstream within a software development team, or similar levels of individual responsibility.
been the lead on complex technical problems and collaborating with external suppliers.
