Due to continued growth we are currently looking to recruit an experienced Controls Engineer.
The role will provide successful delivery of specification compliance, fully functioning strategies aligned to the operation of the company’s products. Be responsible for overseeing and reporting to relevant stakeholders on R&D initiatives. The successful candidate will need to design and deliver the hardware requirements to meet project specifications.
Ensure that latest building regulations and legislation are adhered to when developing product schemes to ensure compliance.
Keep abreast of industry and product specific controls and software progression to remain competitive and be aware of new trends
Ensure that project specific strategies are developed and completed in a timely manner, adhering to customer requirements.
Responsible for all new strategies to be fully tested and signed off as functional prior to implementation.
Produce project specific documentation as required e.g. Description of Operation, Technical Submission, providing a statement of our scope of works to adhere to customers specification.
Responsible for attending client meetings as necessary both pre and post order to ensure we are delivering projects to client expectations. Participate in design discussions, produce specifications, etc. as required in support of project. Provide technical guidance during design phase and post order site support to operational teams as required, ensuring pro-active support and clear guidance for all clients.
Accountable for writing, understanding, interpreting and amend/ updating as appropriate wiring schematics drawings and CAD based designs using a CAD package to produce installation guidelines.
Ability to provide and present monthly reports to the Controls Manager regarding progress on all activity.
Ensure all tasks and functions are undertaken in a safe manner in accordance with the company Health and Safety policies, procedures and management system.
Uphold the highest standards of quality, protect and consider the environment whilst adhering to our ISO9001 and ISO14001 processes and procedures.
Work in conjunction with sales teams to interpret contract specifications, ensuring strategies are compliant.
Maintain accurate project records ensuring that the company is contractually safeguarded.
Promote proactive project communication to key stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the project.
Support clients on any control’s issues for equipment still within warrantee providing quality customer service.
Attend site projects anytime site attendance is required to provide support and expertise for all software installed.
Keep the contracts department informed of any works/site attendance to ensure they are aware of any ongoing works or changes being carried out after the equipment has been dispatched through the project.
Assist site/service engineers remotely or on site to ensure software and hardware is being understood and are within the capabilities of the engineers to ‘set to work’.
