The day job
This is a fantastic opportunity to train to become an Infrastructure Engineer where you will have the opportunity to work on multimillion pound projects digitally transforming MOD Defence Business Services. You will play a key part in having a positive impact on the lives of the Armed Forces and our Veterans.

Provides technical expertise for appropriate level distributed systems environments on issues related to servers, local services, data centres, server configuration, and to ensure that client needs are met.
Participates in requirements definition, specification, design, development, and integration of Microsoft Windows systems and on projects to ensure services adhere to client specifications.
Tests, integrates, maintains, and addresses escalated problems related to Wintel systems for smaller sized projects, including testing and integrating hardware and software, using appropriate resources.
Provide configuration management, inventory management, fault management, and trouble management support on already established servers or networks.
Supports maintenance and upgrades of Wintel computer environments.
Performs risk and consequence assessment for projects; assists in identifying cost reduction opportunities to safeguard company and client interests.

You need to have:
Experience of working in a systems support or Infrastructure support role.
Experience of supporting windows server
Some experience of Active Directory.
Good communication skills
The ability to multi-task and priorities workload.
