About The Role
AO is at an exciting, early stage in its adoption of product management roles and responsibilities. We’re looking for an experienced product owner ideally with experience in leading a focused Design System team.
Product management is an essential role within the agile ways of working that AO is rapidly adopting across the business and this exciting opportunity will see the successful applicant help define and showcase what good looks like for product management within AO.
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

You will be the dedicated, accountable, visible figurehead of a squad of AO’ers working on a key portion of our technology estate.
You will work closely with key business stakeholders to develop the product strategy, manage the product roadmap and prioritise the product backlog through a range of techniques to maximise value and return on investment in the squad.
Collaborate extensively with colleagues across our UK retail and AO Tech business units to prove the value unlocked through development of the product.
Own the product delivery process - define the minimum viable product and work with your team to agree what’s next for release, while defining delivery plans and communicating progress to the wider business.
Work closely with co-located teams of software engineers, designers, researchers and analysts to create a central design system.
Be user focused - act as the voice of the business and the users during development and iterations of the service.
Embrace Agile ways of working - able to work in a fast paced, evolving environment and use iterative methods and a flexible approach to enable rapid delivery.
Demonstrate results by measuring key performance indicators across the delivery process and working with the team to move the needle

A balanced view of the world - This role will work closely with UK retail and AO Tech and the perfect candidate will have a good understanding what good looks like from a number of different perspectives.

Leadership qualities - As the figurehead for a product, you’ll need the ability to develop and present a clear vision for your product and take others across the business on that journey.
