Are you looking for a new engineering challenge and want to work for a local company in the North East that is part of a global organisation and produces some market leading consumer tissue products, such as Velvet and Cushelle toilet tissue?
At our site in Prudhoe, we are looking for specialists in either Mechanical Technician/ Engineer or Electrical & Instrumentation Technician/ Engineer. With employees numbering approximately 400, we are keen to hear from you if you want to join us and work on large-scale industrial machinery, whilst providing your knowledge and skills to the existing teams.
This is a generic advert and therefore if you submit your CV now and we assess that you have the right skills and attributes then we will contact you should anything arise over the next 3 months.
About the Role
Our ethos is to fix things for good, and to assist in making sure our 2 paper machines and 7 converting lines are working as efficiently as possible, and our a day-based technical teams support the shift teams and help deliver on planned maintenance, managing breakdowns and on continuous improvement activities. Not only do we run the paper machines and the converting lines, but we have a pulp preparation area including water treatment facilities, and de-inking facilities, as well as an automated warehouse facility. All require experts in their fields of engineering to run smoothly and efficiently. If you believe you have the skills to help us achieve this, and want to further your career, then apply today!
We’re looking for people who embody our values, aren’t afraid to challenge, innovate, experiment, and move at a fast pace. We’re always looking for ways to improve our products and ourselves. If this is you, we’d love to talk.
What You Will Do
As an Electrical, E&I or Mechanical expert, you will help deliver on all preventative maintenance activities, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and collaborating with colleagues internally to improve machine efficiencies from a technical perspective. We focus on safety, as well as quality of product and delivery. You will be key in working towards Key Performance Indicators as part of the support technical team.
Who You Are
If you have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in your area of technical expertise (eg: Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering) and either an HNC or equivalent relevant experience, then we would be interested in hearing from you. It would be beneficial (though not essential) to have similar large scale machinery experience, and have worked on PPM and with a root cause analysis approach to finding solutions.
