At our site in Prudhoe, we are looking for specialists in either Mechanical Technician/ Engineer or Electrical & Instrumentation Technician/ Engineer. About the Role
Our ethos is to fix things for good, and to assist in making sure our 2 paper machines and 7 converting lines are working as efficiently as possible we have day-based technical teams to help support the shift teams and help deliver on planned maintenance, managing breakdowns and on continuous improvement activities. Not only do we run the paper machines and the converting lines, but we have a pulp preparation area including water treatment facilities, and de-inking facilities, as well as an automated warehouse facility. What You Will Do
As an Electrical, E&I or Mechanical expert you will help deliver on all preventative maintenance activities, liaising with contractors and suppliers, and collaborating with colleagues internally to improve machine efficiencies from a technical perspective. We focus on safety, as well as quality of product and delivery. You will be key in working towards Key Performance Indicators as part of the support technical team.
Who You Are
If you have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in your area of technical expertise (eg: Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering) and either an HNC or equivalent relevant experience, then we would be interested in hearing from you. It would be beneficial (though not essential) to have similar large scale machinery experience, and have worked on PPM and with a root cause analysis approach to finding solutions.
