Quality Assurance Engineer
Summary of Role
Here at Raytheon UK we are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Global Sensors business supporting the production assembly and test and delivery of quality compliant products and services. The role will also facilitate and support the identification, implementation and flowdown of required Customer, Company & Regulatory requirements and provide assurance through audit and continuous improvement.
The Quality Assurance Engineer will be based in the Global Sensors Manufacturing area carrying out, but not limited to, the following duties:
Liaise with Production and Engineering functions on quality related issues for assigned programmes
Act as advisor/voice of the customer on quality related matters on assigned programmes or area of responsibility
Defect investigation, containment, problem solving and root cause investigations using Six Sigma and 8D processes
Support and participate in daily production and Tier 2 meetings
Facilitate and hold PRB, MRB and CAB meetings
Interface and communicate with program and functional areas to support the goals of the business
Identify and drive continuous improvement projects in CCA area
Support and manage customer source inspections
Carry out Product Buy off and release processes
Customer Compliant investigations and reporting
Engineering experience within a Manufacturing, Quality or Engineering organisation
Conversant with requirements of ISO9001:2015 and AS9100:2009
Six-sigma or lean manufacturing experience/certification
Experience working in an Electronics or Manufacturing environment
Basic understanding of configuration and data control processes and procedures
Internal Auditor or training to ISO90001/AS9100 standard
IPC-A-610/J-STD-001/IPC 7711/7721 certified
Experience with SAP or similar resource planning system
Problem solving skills/techniques
