We are seeking a full-time Project Engineer to join Thermo-fluids research group at the Department of Engineering Science Osney site. The post is funded by a grant and is for a 6-month duration.
As a member of the Department of Engineering Science, the Project Engineer will work in the Thermo-Fluids Group on the design and development of new aerothermal research facilities. Among other activities this may involve investigating cryogenic systems, proposing/designing experimental measurement and control programmes, procurement of components, documentation and reporting of findings. This post will involve regular interactions and meetings with other in the group. The post may also involve the use of computational software including CAD, CFD and FEA methods. You will also be involved in running experiments alongside the rest of the team.
You should possess an undergraduate engineering degree in a relevant discipline and experience both integrating experimental lab equipment with systems engineering software (i.e. LabVIEW) and carrying out experimental programs.
