A little bit about the company…
They're a valued Scottish tech company who provide an essential service to their Highland community.
You will be joining a small and close-knit team where you will be responsible for providing strategic guidance, development, and support of Wireless Network Infrastructure to over 1500 customers across rural locations.
You'll pick up some of the key responsibilities in the team and will have a hand in defining future networks.
There are around 14 in the company and they're looking for someone to take on some key responsibilities.
What will I need?
You will need a good knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) and Radio Frequency (RF) networks and excellent network diagnosis. You will act as a subject matter expert on all networking issues and ensure the optimisation of services, processes and components.
As well as having technical ability it is important that you demonstrate willingness to manage Customer Service requests. You will be required to provide a range of critical support to a wide range of customers requests and troubleshoot accordingly.
Key Skills and Experience:
** The Tech: Ubiquiti airMAX / Ubiquiti EdgeMAX / Ubiquiti airFiber / Ubiquiti LTU/ Ubiquiti UniFi / Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch / Ubiquiti UniFi Video / Netonix WISP Switch / Siklu EtherHaul
** Knowledge of Microwave Communications
** Strong knowledge of Radio Frequency Networks (RF)
** Experience of providing 2nd Line Network Support
** Experience of accurate documenting of technical networks
Where will I be working?
They're based in an incredibly picturesque part of Scotland and you'll be expected to travel to customer sites, so a full driving licence is required.
Ideally, you'll be based in the Inverness / Dingwall area, but it's open to serious relocators. So, if you're sick of the rat race and fancy a change of (stunning) scenery then I'd be happy to chat.
