What will you do at Ciena?
As part of the EMEA service team we are seeking an experienced network engineer who will be responsible for developing network migration proposals in support of complex service deals. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record in execution of Methods or Procedure for reconfiguring Ciena networks including node insertions/deletions, service migrations, legacy network migrations, photonic reconfigurations, etc.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Using expert engineering and product knowledge, lead the process for the development of service proposals to support complex network migration requirements.
Make recommendations on delivery strategies in conjunction with acct teams, delivery teams and product teams.
Define service cost & pricing models, scopes, and assumptions in support of complex service business opportunities based upon agreed delivery strategies. Obtain and document stakeholder approvals
As require, provide global support on the development of complex service proposal
Mentor team members, globally, in support network reconfiguration and migration requirements

- Responding to RFX
- Cration of SoW
Able to work independently with minimal direction

Degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences
3-5 years of experience in executing network reconfiguration and migration EMOPs
Experience in custom quoting network reconfiguration and migration activities and scopes of work.
Layer 2 expertise would be an asset.
