Due to retirement we have a new opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Engineering Team at our Kirkham Bakery.
These are great roles that will see you working hands on in a fast paced production environment, providing you with the chance to enhance your current skills and progress through the business. These are ideal roles for experienced hands on engineers that thrive on diagnosing faults and identifying corrective actions.
Working within a 28 man team, on a site of circa 500 employees.
Due to the long standing skills within the team and investment in training , we are able to now able to recruit candidates from outside the Food Manufacturing Sector.
We still need candidates to have a recognised engineering qualifications and maintenance experience.

About the Role:
As one of our Engineers you will provide an efficient and effective proactive maintenance service to the business. You will support FLMs on site with various CI projects with reduction of downtime and waste in mind through a standardised CI process.
As the Engineer you will be carrying out planned maintenance across the site in an accurate, timely and safe manner ensuring maintenance procedures are followed. Along with updating records of work activities, tasks carried out, parts used through stores and training given
You will respond to and diagnose equipment breakdowns , resolving issues and actioning repairs. While also working closely with production operations, suppliers and internal departments in finding ways to improve process and increase machine reliability and performance
You will have excellent attention to detail, be able to build working relationship quickly while having the ability to work alone and within a team.
You will ideally have a proven track record of machine maintenance within a factory environment. You will be electrical qualified to a min ONC / NVQ or equivalent and be happiest when you’re elbows deep in a machine diagnosing the faults and looking to get it back up and running as quickly as possible.
NVQ level 3 or equivalent within Electrical engineering.
A recognised apprenticeship within an engineering discipline
Understanding of the use of automation in a manufacturing environment.
Understanding of mechanical and electrical fault finding techniques
Basic understanding of CI procedures and techniques.
A working knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering Processes and Procedures
Willingness to learn and motivate others
