As Digital Data Engineer you’ll deliver, maintain and improve the customer digital journey, data management, analytical capability and performance reporting, whilst finding opportunities to improve performance and efficiency of the digital analytics cloud infrastructure.

What you’ll be doing:
Responsible for establishing new digital and web data management and automation capability, analysis and communications.
Working closely with the wider AXA UK and Ireland business as well as with external agencies to build the required procedures with supporting technology and systems.
Clear and consistent consultation and collaboration with many business functions and stakeholders as we move towards embedding a data driven culture.
Developing, establishing, and gaining consensus for a new data and metrics driven way of working will be one of the most challenging features of the role.
Experience within digital data analytics and or data engineering functions.
A 2.1 or higher degree in a mathematical or computing subject or equivalent qualification.
Track record of successful data engineering projects utilising Google Cloud Platform. Exposure to Google Tag Manager or similar tag management tool.
An analytical background, marketing or digital experience is also beneficial.
Advanced knowledge and experience of SQL, BigQuery & Python.
High level of customer focus, understanding of customer buying behaviour, marketing & digital principles and channels.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both oral and written. Ability to translate technical solutions into easily digestible business and digital opportunities and metrics.
Developed relationship skills, able to engage with and communicate to colleagues at all levels.
