About the role
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in our talented team at Blackgrange you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of efficient and effective maintenance, repair, problem solving and improvement of assets to a high standard.
You'll be responsible for responding promptly and appropriately to plant breakdown situations, analyse, fault find and repair route cause problems to ensure downtime is minimized.
Your role will allow you to develop and implement maintenance programmes that support and improve asset performance and utilisation.
Health and safety compliance is key and you’ll be at the forefront of making sure this is monitored alongside other KPI’s and targets.

You’ll have the drive to make a positive difference to manufacturing excellence and show your excellent communication skills while working alongside both internal and external partners.
You'll be a time served mechanical engineer with the relevant qualifications and have demonstrable knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and environmental risk principles. You’ll have the ability to work on various mechanical systems in a busy and varied whisky maturation environment and a sound understanding of SAP. An understanding of welding and fabrication along with warehousing and blending operations would be advantageous.
