LGC has an exciting opening to join our servicing team as an International Field Service Engineer. Applications are encouraged from engineers with a broad range background, we are seeking a technically motivated, customer focused and confident communicator who has experience of diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and/or electronic equipment.
You will be responsible for coordinating activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment for clients based in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Your challenge is helping to create global customer focused solutions that address critical technicial needs faced by the agricultural, biotechnology and life science industries

What we want from our Field Service Engineer
To succeed in this exciting role you must be able to demonstrate a competent background in a customer facing field service engineering capacity, be technically motivated and have knowledge in installation, breakdown, and repair
A qualification in engineering (electronics, instruments and mechanical) is essential. Applicants are welcome from all Field Service Engineers from a broad base of sectors, as full and comprehensive product training will be provided on our wide range of sophisticated scientific and laboratory systems that are utilised within laboratories environments.
Please note this role will require you to work both interdepartmentally and internationally.

Essential Qualifications and Experience Required
ONC/HNC/NVQ or higher or similar qualification and discipline in electro/mechanical/electronic engineering
Minimum two years field service role and familiar with all aspects of customer service including commissioning, repairs and service.
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work as part of a highly motivated and driven team.
Comprehensible IT skills
Organised and priority focused while adapting to workload
Capable of self-managing and co-ordinating time as required
Previous experience within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
Good methodical approach to problem solving
Essential requirements: Full Driving License
Extensive global travel as business dictates where this could be 50-75% of the time
Sound understanding of liquid handling
