We are looking to recruit software engineers, who are passionate about coding, and ideally have industry experience through either a degree placement, employment, or write code for a hobby in their spare time.
You would be working for Thales Training Solutions as part of a large community of engineers who produce are developing new and evolving digital products that provide high-fidelity synthetic environments to trainees, along with advanced tools to allow instructors to control the training. Colleagues will strongly support you as part of a team, whilst you develop your skills and gain further experience. Due to the pandemic, your employment would initially be largely home-based, although might include occasional visits to our state of the art Crawley offices.

As part of a team, undertake the implementation, test and integration of software in line with company processes and to required standards
As part of a team, accurately define and estimate required effort for tasks
Contribute to successfully meeting project and product deliverables within schedule and to budget
Work with other software engineering teams to ensure interfaces are well defined and documented, as well as correctly adhered to and understood
Work closely with engineering testing teams to ensure traceable verification and validation of project requirements
Professionally interact with colleagues to understand requirements
Engineering industry experience (as part of degree or part-time)
Develop software as a hobby or from work experience
Experience in C#, Java, C+
Knowledge of simulation or computer games

Due to the sensitive nature of much of the work undertaken by Thales Training Solutions, all applicants must be eligible for UK MoD Security Clearance (SC level minimum).
In line with Thales' Baseline Security requirements, candidates will be asked to provide evidence of identity, eligibility to work in the UK and employment and/or education history for up to three years. Some vacancies may require full Security Clearance which can require further evidence to be provided.
