In this role the Quality engineer will utilize his/her experience and expertise to solve problems.
The role of the quality engineer extends from dealing with customer complaints, field issues, internal quality, and supplier quality.
The quality engineer will take the lead to drive the root cause analysis and corrective action to bring the problem to resolution and ensure closure.
The quality engineer in his role will be interfacing with associates ranging from production operators, manufacturing engineers, team leaders, field service engineers, development engineers, suppliers, customers and more.
Additionally, will drive quality metrics, continuous improvement initiatives, and lead by example to foster continuous improvement culture with rigorous problem-solving approach, and develop the quality culture as part of the team
Run Continuous Improvements projects based on root cause corrective actions investigation
Analyze data from internal/customer/supplier reports to highlight trends and guide the team’s effort.
Participate in CI event as the quality representative, while empowering operational staff to present ideas and create improvement in the processes
Collaborate with the leaders of the different factory’s area, to identify project opportunities and bring continuous improvement
Provide quality support in the different areas of the factory, and coach people to the ‘’quality first’’ ethos
Maintain KPI dashboard
Manage supplier by creating monthly report, participating in audits, and improving their performance
Treat customer complaint by leading with other team members the Root cause analysis, ensure the problems are contained, and corrective actions are applied
Manage internal quality, in the different factory areas, highlighting trends and leading CI events.
Participate in lean activity, 5S, process efficiency improvements, and Kaizen events related to quality or others
Fluent English language, both verbal and written
Strong analytical mindset, and good troubleshooting skills
Ability to deal with several projects at once
Excellent problem-solving skills, and good knowledge of 5 WHY, ISHIKAWA, A3, 8D
Good presentation skills, including common use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint
ISO knowledge is a plus
Technical skills, must be able to read/follow technical drawing, wiring diagrams, product specifications and use basic electronic & mechanical measurement tools
Dexterity and mechanical skills
Knowledge of FMEA and quality plans
Experience in electronic or hydraulic is a plus
Self-motivated, manages own schedule in a manner which yields best results
Able to work in a high paced and dynamic team
Hands on approach
Ability to interact at all levels of the organization
Willing to learn and achieve any formal quality qualification as set by the company
Possible European travel may be required
A degree of flexibility in working hours as occasional shift work will be required
A degree of flexibility to work overtime at short notice
