Air Traffic Control Services Limited (ATCSL) are looking to recruit an Air Traffic Engineer based at Liverpool John Lennon Airport, providing multi-site support and expertise. This role is a permanent, full time contract.
As part of the ATE team, you will maintain, repair, modify and ensure the safe operation of communications, navigational and radar services for the safety of aircraft in flight and on the ground in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements and ATCSL Safety Management Systems. Reporting to the Senior Air Traffic Engineer (SATE), you will be for the maintenance, repair, modification and safe operation of technical equipment, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Communication systems including VCCS
- Navigational Aids
- Primary Surveillance Radar and Radar Display Systems
- Meteorological Sensors and Display System
- IT based safety critical system networks
The role will also include taking on additional responsibilities within the department such as cross site working, project work, system specialism and safety representation as allocated by your Line Manager.
You will be a motivated, reliable and self-disciplined Engineer who can work as part of a team or individually, showing initiative at all times. As a adaptable, confident and experienced Engineer accustomed to working to a high standard within tight deadlines; you must easily adjust to different and challenging working environments, and be keen to learn new disciplines with a drive for continuous improvement.
You will ideally have a HNC in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent with experience as an Air Traffic Engineer or have transferable qualifications, skills and experience within a similar profession.

You will be expected to work off-site and also attend external courses whilst representing the company; therefore the role will see you being away from home for short periods at a time. The Air Traffic Engineer role will involve driving on the airfield so the candidate must hold a full UK driving licence.
