About the role
Balfour Beatty has an opportunity for a Purge and Relight Meter Worker to join our Gas & Water business unit to work in the North West and West Midlands.
What you'll be doing
As a Purge and Relight Meter Worker you will have the following responsibilities:
As a purge and relight engineer you will work supporting mains replacement throughout both areas independently.
This will involve carrying out any pipework alterations required if meter relocations are required, gas safety checks to re-establish gas supplies and visual inspections of all appliances including carrying out any unsafe procedures processes as per gas safe regulations.
Who we're looking for
You will have:
Minimum, CCN1 or CESP1 and MET1 or MET4 qualifications, with Metering and Pipework skills and experience, plus the knowledge and capability to extend your skills to the required level;
Once trained, your basic hours will be 40 with various work patterns including shifts and Stand-by;
