Job Title : Desktop Support Engineer
Location: Belfast N. Ireland (Customer Site)
Outline of Role
Fujitsu are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic technical services engineer to join the Desktop team. The Desktop team are responsible for the technical support of a substantial Windows for one of Fujitsu's key accounts.
The role requires a self-motivated person, with strong inter-personal skills, who is able to communicate effectively with people at all levels. The role may, on occasion, require the person to work outside of their own skill set by being able to accurately follow specific technical instruction from colleagues or documentation/plans.
It should be noted that the post may require the individual to participate in on-call and Duty Manager rotas.
Due to operational needs the individual will need to be flexible and be willing to work across teams to ensure our excellent customer service is maintained.
There will at times be a requirement to work overtime at short notice (evenings and/or weekends).The post holder must be a driver with own transport and hold a full driving licence valid for use in UK.
Successful Applicants will be required to pass appropriate Security Clearances.
Skills - Mandatory
Experience in Microsoft Office 2010 Support
Experience in Microsoft Windows Operating Systems Support - (Vista and Windows 7)
Experience working with PC Hardware and peripherals
Demonstrate an ability to take on new technologies and challenges
Excellent written/verbal communication skills
Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
Strong organisation skills and ability to prioritise, plan and multitask work
Task ownership and ability to work within deadlines and timelines.
Skills - Useful:
Familiarity with various Windows operating systems
Enterprise Management S/W including SCCM
Service Delivery within ITIL Framework
