We are looking for an experienced, hands-on Support Engineer to join our growing company in London. Working within the Customer Support Team in a fast-paced managed service environment, you will be responsible for:
Providing Business As Usual (BAU) support to many different clients, ensuring high uptime, quick resolution of incidents, and great customer satisfaction
Analysing, troubleshooting, and resolving operating system, system hardware, application, storage, virtualization and networking issues
Use tools to manage operating system updates, patches and configuration changes
Performing data backup and restore requests
Performing software and hardware upgrades
Providing status reporting and improvement recommendations
Adhering to change control policies and procedures
Liaising with vendors, suppliers and professional services. Coordinating hardware maintenance and repairs with vendors
The successful candidate will be passionate about technology and possess an understanding and experience of desktop and infrastructure technologies.
Skills & Experience:
Have previous experience working for an IT managed services provider (MSP)
Be familiar with ticket logging and remote management and monitoring processes
Have working knowledge of Microsoft technology at administrator level, including Windows Server, Hyper-V, System Center, Active Directory and Office 365
Have a familiarisation of basic network technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP etc.)
Be able to create and maintain operational support documentation
In addition, any of the following would be advantageous:
Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop and/or NetScaler support experience
Microsoft server products such as SQL Server and Exchange Server
Familiarisation with Public Cloud solutions – Azure, AWS, etc
Familiarity with PowerShell and scripting
Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco or VMware certification
Primarily working from our head office in London (South Quay) – however travel may be required to client sites around London, and very occasional paid travel around the UK or Europe.
