£27,902 to £32,367 & Responsibility Allowance p/annum depending on experience

Here at Together Housing, we have an ethos of “Right First Time” so you will be expected to complete a repair where possible on the first visit, so you will also be doing root cause fault finding on repairs.
The key duties of a lead engineer are:
To provide technical advice to gas engineers and undertake pre-post inspections relating to gas related works or other problems with the Company’s housing stock.
To assist the Repairs Team Co-ordinators in the organisation, motivation and supervision of a team of technicians
To ensure works are all carried out to a high quality standard, in accordance with all health & safety legislation and within prescribed timescales.
Assist management with the development and introduction of new initiatives.
To fulfil this role we would expect you to have:
Be able to demonstrate experience in the gas servicing / repairs sector
Experience of leading a team
Experience of managing a team to ensure business targets are met
Experience of dealing with issues of poor performance
Experience of resolving work related problems without referring to your manager
A complete understanding of gas related problems and rectification techniques
You will require City & Guilds craft certificate in gas maintenance or equivalent (NVQ 3) and current ACS accreditations.
Due to the nature of the role, you will require a full driving license and sit a driving assessment before using a company van.
