Duties / Responsibilities (Including Objectives of the role):
This full-time role makes a vital contribution in supporting the development and bringing to market of new Lotus vehicles. Liaison with Powertrain and Climate Control teams.
Liaison with Powertrain team
Supporting distributed functionality linked to Body Electronics and Climate Control Systems (HVAC)
Supporting distributed functionality for Engine and Transmission Systems.
Testing integration of HVAC, ECM and TCM functionality in Labcar and Vehicle.
Reporting of status of systems integration and issues tracking
Validation and support of interior electronic and passive safety systems for Lotus products.
Support definition and development and validation processes and to ensure delivery of electronic systems and components, including ECUs, sensors and actuators.
Manage daily workload for all development work for associated functions.
Support problem solving activities on Vehicle Electronics topics.
Keep up-to-date with industry developments in area of responsibility.
Contribute to and write vehicle technical specifications, and component technical specifications.
Ensure the proper release of electrical and electronic parts in time and within specifications.
Ensure proper manufacturing and cost engineering assessment for electrical and electronic parts.
Ensure proper design validation through testing.
Ensure the technical operation of electrical and electronic engineering work within overall programme requirements.
Support the implementation of the Lotus Product Introduction Plan.
Ensure professional relationships with our suppliers, including selection and management.
Support the Principle Engineer - EEI with development and validation activities as appropriate.
Management of own activities to support the delivery of programmes on time and to budget.

Knowledge of vehicle architecture, control systems and testing.

Engineering degree or equivalent (Essential)
Experience in the automotive industry (Essential)
Experience in Automotive Electronic Architecture (Essential)
Experience in Software Validation (Desirable)
Experience in HVAC (Desirable)
Experience in Engine Management (Desirable)
