As a Software Engineer with the BBC account team, you will be responsible for developing software for the authorisation and authentication applications for the whole of the BBC. Our software opens the gateway to personalisation across the web, mobile applications, and voice interfaces.
We don't expect anyone to have experience of everything below, but this gives an example of the principles and practices we value:
Enthusiasm for writing clean, well documented, and testable code
Work closely with other team members, and build relationships with other teams in the BBC, to write software collaboratively
The ability to question the way we work, and the tools and processes we use - we're always aiming to make our team the best it can be
Good communication skills - a great candidate will be able to talk to other developers, to non-developers, and is happy to communicate with people remotely across multiple BBC sites

Working with others, often remotely, to write and review code
Version control systems such as git
Software testing best practices with frameworks such as Jest or Mocha
Knowledge of continuous integration services such as Jenkins
Some knowledge of cloud computing
