We are an aspiring organisation, and we are looking for equally bold and creative Structural Parts Engineer to join our dynamic Conversions & Accessories team. Nissan is positioned to become the most desirable Asian brand in Europe, and we need your help to get there.
We are seeking a Structural Parts Engineer to be based at Nissan Technical Centre Europe, Cranfield to support the growth of the accessory business through development of new accessory parts for vehicle conversion and dealer fitment for vehicles sold in Europe and Russia.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Development of structural parts (towbars, rear mount bike carriers and side steps) with a high level of integration to the vehicle
Lead the full development process, from initial concept sheet through to actual physical fitment trials to ensure optimum quality and workability standards.
Close cross-functional work is required, liaising with many areas of the company including Styling, Commercial, Planning and Quality teams as well as close liaison with R&D to ensure achievement of cost and quality targets.
Background and Experience
Experience in Chassis structural parts development with a strong understanding of vehicle body structures
CAD experience (preferably Siemens NX)
Understanding of vehicle Body stuctures
Understanding of Automotive development process (ANPQP)
Understanding of DFMEA process
Understanding of Engineering drawings including Key feature diagram (KFD)
