Job Description Summary
We are recruiting for a Technical Engineer, on a 12 month fixed term contract, for the effective diagnosis and repair of customer and company equipment (electro-mechanical medical devices) within the UK Workshop and is part of a Global Customer Service team and will deliver high quality, efficient & professional services that meet the Customer & Business needs.
As Technical Engineer you will provide full technical support to allow the smooth running of the day to day aspects of the Workshop, meeting the department’s goals and targets to the required standard. Responsible for maintaining and continuously improving productivity and how it supports all internal and external customers.
As Technical Engineer, you will;
Calibrate, service and repair of customer and company equipment in accordance with company procedures in a timely manner and aligned to department Turnaround Time
Provide technical support for customers via email and telephone
Support investigations into customer complaints and any other issues that may arise
Carry out daily safety tests on equipment used within the service centre
Support the register and control of all equipment that requires calibration within the service centre and support the co-ordination of annual calibration checks
Produce detailed and accurate service reports using IT systems
Carry out detailed and effective stock inventory checks and monitoring of parts used and reordering when stock is low.
Carry out project work to enable both the service centre business and personal develop
Support revenue growth, cost savings and operational efficiencies, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will have an ONC/HNC in Engineering or equivalent experience. You will have experience in a service and repair environment. You will be an effective communicator and have a good customer service attitude. You will be IT literate and have a good attention to detail needed to complete medical devices service records.
The role is based in West Worthing and may require UK travel to customer sites and company offices.
