Graduate Energy & Renewables Consultant – Perth, Scotland

Our team of specialist property consultants is drawn from a diverse professional background, which affords us unparalleled knowledge across all areas of the renewable energy industry and makes us the go to team for landowners and developers alike.
We’re dedicated to playing our part in the energy transition – continuously seeking new opportunities to provide insight into this fast-paced industry and working hard to maintain our reputation as trusted specialists in our field.
You will have an interest in property and the renewable energy transition and if you have an interest in the rural environment and enjoy project management then even better.
What You’ll Do*
You will immediately be involved in supporting our clients to achieve their goals in renewable energy and will assist with advising on a range of projects and technologies such as onshore wind, offshore wind connections, solar PV and energy storage to name a few.
You'll be given responsibility early in your career and work across a wide range of projects as we believe that is the best way for you to learn. Our team of consultants undertake a wide variety of property tasks such as assessing development appraisals, negotiating on commercial development projects, drafting strategic reports, managing and monitoring issues during construction and dissemination of contractual obligations – you’ll get involved in all of this and more.
As a Graduate Energy & Renewables Consultant, you will keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies within the energy sector and will soon be able to engage with clients confidently on a range of relevant topics.
What You’ll Achieve*
You'll get the chance to grow with us, in-fact we really want you to progress and will do all we can to help. You’ll be enrolled on our 2-year graduate development programme, which will focus on commercial and financial acumen, presentation and writing skills and effective communication. This will develop you beyond your current technical expertise, building a strong foundation for your career in energy & renewables consultancy.
Part One: A programme which will see you get involved in a range of skill development activities and networking opportunities, not just with other graduates, but with key senior stakeholders.
Part Two: The potential to further your study and focus on specific energy & renewable qualifications.
In return we will pay you competitively and provide you with some great benefits: 25 days holiday (increasing with length of service), up to 8% contributory pension, health insurance and various voluntary benefits focused around maximising your wellbeing.
Ideally you will hold a degree related to property and/or energy and you might have recently graduated or already have some experience in a graduate role elsewhere. If your degree is RICS accredited then that would be beneficial, but not essential, and we'd like someone who has some work experience under their belt, preferably in consultancy but it could be any property or energy related field.
We also look for candidates who embrace teamwork, and enjoy taking responsibility, so please make sure you tell us about these in your application!
