An exciting opportunity to join our busy Credit Risk team has become available! We are recruiting a temporary Credit Risk Administrator, this is a fixed term role for 6 months based Leeds, West Yorkshire.
Our successful candidate will be a key part of the function, responsible for the review and creation of new accounts relating to Farnell Europe’s customer base ensuring appropriate credit facilities are set. Updating and maintaining the customer master file is an essential part of this role in respect of account amendments and discount policy. This is a fast paced team, where attention to detail and the ability to manage own workload is key. In this role, you will be working with customers both internally and externally as well as across boundaries and geographical borders therefore the ability to communicate confidently and persuasively at all levels with colleagues and customers across geographical borders is essential.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Ensure the Credit Management Policy is adhered to at all times.
Review all credit applications, perform credit checks on new applications as per policy.
Assess and process new accounts as approved in line with policy in line with Service Level Agreements.
Perform credit limit reviews and make recommendations for changes.
Process credit limit changes as approved in accordance with policy.
Process correspondence relating to Insolvencies including completion of Claim form & Proof of Debt.
Adhoc duties as requested by European Risk Manager & European Head of Credit Management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Previous credit control experience in a high volume, multiple accounts, low average invoice value environment. £100m + turnover, 10,000+ accounts
Ability to work under pressure; resilient and self-motivated.
Working Knowledge of MS Word & Excel
Previous experience and working knowlegdge of financial systems e.g. AS400.
ICM qualifications would be an advantage
Ability to interpret financial statements.
European language skills advantageous.
