Support professional development
We set requirements, accredit, quality assure and deliver learning and professional development, promote diversity and wellbeing, and help to nurture and select leaders at all levels.
Applications are invited for the post of Immersive Learning Developer.
The selected candidate will scope, design, build and deliver, on College or client's sites, bespoke simulated immersive learning events and exercises using systems developed by the Hydra Foundation.
Using the Hydra methodology the selected candidate will work in conjunction with Subject Matter Experts to re-create 'real-life' policing and multi-agency scenarios to improve the effective response to, and management of, all aspects of Policing including Critical Incident Management.
All applicants must hold:
A degree or equivalent Level 6 qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience.
Experience of working as part of an agile delivery or project team using project management methodology, with professional accountability for the quality of project deliverables.
Proven experience in the concepts of learning theory and methodology, ideally in adult learning, to meet specifications for enhancing knowledge and understanding and changing performance and behaviours

Additional information and eligibility:
This post is available as a 3 year secondment to serving police officers who are substantive in the rank of either Constable or Sergeant and who have their chief officer's approval. Chief Officer's approval must be of NPCC rank, i.e., CC, ACC or DCC and approval for secondment must accompany an application. There is no temporary promotion available.
Police officers applying for a secondment opportunity must have a current vetting level of recruitment vetting (RV) as a minimum. Prior to submitting an application please contact your force vetting department to check your vetting level. Central service conditions may apply for police staff.
This role is also offered as a fixed term appointment for 23 months.
