An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Turbines Supply Chain Unit as a Digital Systems CAPP Super User supporting our facilities in globally. Turbines business is leading the way in digital transformation.

You can be based in either Bristol or Derby.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief of Digital Manufacturing & be responsible for:
Developing and co-ordinating the deployment of Computer Aided Process Planning capability through liaison with the Central Digital Manufacturing and PLM teams.
Liaising with the IT teams and the Focus Improvement Group (FIG) to (a) understand software roadmaps and (b) to influence future functionality development to meet the needs of the business.
The administration of Data Security, operating within an established support framework, liaising with the Turbines Manufacturing Engineering community across the world developing capability and competency.
Developing PLM capability/competence within the Turbines Manufacturing Engineering community to deliver significant process improvement. Promoting the appropriate standardisation of authoring best practise across the Turbines business whilst maintaining synergy with other Rolls-Royce business units and Design Engineering.
The development of standard templates in the Teamcenter Authoring tool set. Each template being supported by a user guide detailing the template use policy.
Establish and maintain CoPs regarding; CAPP standards, Best practices, PLM programme updates, configuration changes, and relevant business information including new recognised best practices.
Support the major transformation and improvement projects with technical expertise.
For the role, you must be qualified or aspiring to degree level in an engineering discipline or equivalent or possess significant relevant experience.
Manufacturing Engineering experience would be beneficial as well as the ability to network effectively at all levels within the business & the Manufacturing Engineering and Central Digital Manufacturing.
You must be energetic, enthusiastic team-oriented individual with a passion to succeed in a high-profile role and a vision of how modern manufacturing should be achieved.
Experience of Quality Assurance processes and procedures demonstrating the ability to take the lead on assigned tasks.
Thorough theoretical and practical understanding of the manufacturing engineering end-to-end process using a variety of Digital Manufacturing Systems and has applied this to different gas turbine engine products.
Strong interpersonal skills to influence effective of ways of working and adoption of Digital Technology in Industry.
Experience within the field of Digital Manufacturing, Smart Manufacturing, understanding the importance of strategic partnerships and future functionality proposed within the Digital Manufacturing roadmap.
Business change management, Coaching, facilitation, and general leadership skills
Programme management skills, able to maintain various work streams each with centrally controlled dependencies and stakeholders across the business.
