The Premex Group, are looking for a Software Developer in Test (SDET) who has hands-on experience in Automated Integration Testing .
You will be defining the technical testing approach, designing, developing and testing the automation framework.
Automate test plans for a significant component, set of features, mid-size application, or service.
Build scalable automation use cases/tools.
Able to work independently and with team to deliver test plans and test cases successfully.
Work is consistently of a high quality (e.g., thorough, thoughtful, data-driven) and incorporates best practices.
Write code/scripts and automated tests that are maintainable and reusable.
Constructively identify problems and propose solutions, taking on projects that identify and mitigate risk while measuring software quality.
Establish and maintain good working relationships with team members and peers working on related software. Recognise discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.
Confidently train new team members about what your software does, how it is constructed, tested, and operates and how it fits into the bigger picture.
Contribute to the impact assessment, scoping and estimating of technical testing activity for work packets
Communicate testing approach and coverage back to business stakeholders to ensure these meet with the business requirement and risk appetite
Guide and mentor less experienced SDETs and Testers across the IT department
Maintain excellent awareness of industry methods, tools and techniques and recommend changes to the existing processes where appropriate
Participation in design and code inspections.
API level testing.
Ability to analyse automation frameworks suitable for projects
Perform manual testing, the scope of which will encompass all functionalities of services as a prequel to automation
Analyse test logs; create test reports, co-ordinate with stakeholders.
When production problems occur, respond efficiently and effectively to address issues to minimise business disruption.
You should have:
At least 4+ years coding experience in OOP Language
Preferred qualification and experience in:
- Bachelor's degree or 4+ years’ experience working in QA, developing automated tests for web-based products.
- Experience in SPECFLOW/CUCUMBER/GHERKIN/Selenium/Cyprus desirable
- 5+ years coding experience in C# and/or Java
- Strong development background on large projects on collaborative teams
- Proven coding skills in Java, C# or C++ on Windows/Unix/Linux platforms
- Experience with experience with JSON, XML, XSD, WSDL, SWAGGER and SOAP and a history working with web client software and microservices
- Experience writing or enhancing test harness/framework is required.
- Database knowledge is required.
The position, offers full remote working and would suit an individual, who is able to work on a solo basis, with minimum supervision.
Hours of work – 9.00am – 5.30pm
