Hear from our current placement student:
"Carrying out my placement with the Canal and River Trust has given me the opportunity to apply my engineering knowledge from university, as well as given me an insight into how a company is run. There have been a multitude of projects and structures that I have worked on, which allowed me to further develop my understanding on waterway structures.
Working for the Canal and River Trust has allowed me to carry out regular site visits, more than you might be offered elsewhere. This was beneficial in having a solid understanding in the construction process, how to manage a project, and the different things to take into consideration when producing a design, which will be of great pertinence when starting a job as a graduate"
