The Costain Graduate Development Scheme is an intensive 2-year programme designed to equip high flying graduates with the skills and experience required to take them forward in their career with the company. We expect graduates to rotate after 12 months to another sector of the business. We offer mentoring and support in every area of work, as well as a structured training programme to enable graduates to work towards achieving Chartership with the relevant professional body. This includes an accredited Further Learning Programme for Graduates with a BEng degree. Graduates will work on a number of projects around the UK during the 2-year programme, in sectors including defence, nuclear, oil & gas, energy, rail, highways, water.

What will I be doing?:
We’re looking for an exceptional Graduate Virtual Reality Engineer / Unity Developer to work with us on creating exceptional XR solutions for civil engineering. You will act as hub between design, and programming and ensure that our products offer an overall great end user experience. The role will constantly challenge your technical knowledge and creativity as you both evaluate and push the limits of what is technically possible.
Key duties and responsibilities
Developing various functionalities and tools.
Researching best practices and confidently presenting your findings back to the team.
Ensure that newly developed functionalities and tools meet the expectation and are coherent with existing code.
Demonstrate iterative prototyping skills to demonstrate the validity of features.
Identify and resolve bugs found by you or reported by people from other disciplines.
Considering responsive and efficient design and development for VR, AR and MR
Degree in Computer Science or Games Development / Design
Keen interest in graphics design & simulation
