We are now seeking an enthusiastic DevOps Engineer with a willingness to learn, to be responsible for ensuring the good running of our services, ensuring that proper automation and monitoring is in place, supporting projects and ultimately contributing to the deployment of new problems and the services.
The provision and maintenance of hardware infrastructure and the fulfilment of administration requirements of virtual platforms, including the maintenance of virtual machines.
Creation of automation and integrations.
Assisting with the troubleshooting of issues escalated from other departments.
Automate the deployment of operating systems, containers and services.
Developing applications in accordance with project requirements
Providing valued input into the design and development of software
Supporting the R&D team as required, with day-to-day processes and activities
Complete the installation of internal software and platforms.
Maintain internal asset systems.
Provide timely and effective support to the Technical Support team, where required.
Monitor the robustness and effectiveness of internal business systems, identifying opportunities for improvement.
University graduate or have demonstrably educated to an equivalent degree (within Computer Sciences, or a related topic).
Have experience of database administration, design and development.
Solid programming skills in at least one language (ideally Python and/or Go) and a good knowledge of Unix/Linux including virtualisation.
Working knowledge of web security.
Possess the ability to identify and resolve technical problems and adapt to new technologies and techniques.
Data analysis; research skills.
Familiarity with GitLab and Ansible.
An understanding of networking.
