AWE is currently recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join the Warhead Processing and Surveillance (WP&S) team. The team predominantly support Production and Assembly Technology Centre operations.
Location - Reading / Basingstoke Area

As a member of the WP&S team, you will be required to:
Contribute to the production and delivery of high-quality technical documentation, including validation and verification plans and method statements
Support the Senior Engineers and Task Management in scoping, planning, and estimating future activities.
Attend reviews such as tooling design and defect review panels.
Actively seek to fill gaps in knowledge regarding our product.
Identify and support opportunities for cost savings, efficiency and business improvement.
Demonstrate excellent customer facing skills with both internal and external stakeholders, eliciting needs and translating them into engineering requirements.
Support development and delivery of viable technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
Organise personal training and development under the guidance of a professional mentor.
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and effectively balance / prioritise their work around programme and technical requirements.
A working knowledge of mechanical systems and how they interface.
Ability to work efficiently as a self-directed individual or part of a team.
Competence in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
HNC / HND or higher qualification, or equivalent, in a STEM discipline or proven experience working in a similar environment.
Experience preparing technical documentation.
Proven track record of delivery and systems thinking approach.
Candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
