Job Title: Systems Support Engineer
Salary: £31,067 per annum
Weekly Hours: 35 hours
We are currently seeking a Systems Support Engineer, based in the IT Department who will be responsible for delivering and supporting IT solutions.
You will be working in a small team, working Monday to Friday, and responsible for:
Implementation, support and maintenance of all infrastructure systems, including server maintenance, upgrades and diagnosis, network and telephony
Providing a high level of technical expertise to support business activity
Cloud technologies. Azure, AWS, Office 365
Monitoring and maintaining backups. Veeam and Veritas Backup Exec
Producing clear documentation on systems and changes. Control
Deliver solutions in line with business expectations/strategy
Create and maintain KPI’s relating to usage and capacity of key IT infrastructure equipment
Create and maintain all infrastructure topology documentation
Pro-active approach to fault-finding, service assurance and ability to perform root cause analysis and accurate follow up - corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Work alongside the IT manager to identify and execute cost saving opportunities within the current IT infrastructure environment
Ensure that security of the environment is maintained and that all infrastructure is compliant with relevant patch and security levels
You will have the following experience:
Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012R2/2016 – RDS services, Exchange
Server virtualisation – VMware, vCenter, vMotion
Active Directory including DHCP, DNS and Group Policy
Good knowledge of storage and networking technologies including troubleshooting
High level of commitment to delivery
Powershell scripting experience
Technical project work experience
Minimum of 3 years experience in IT Infrastructure 2nd line roles
