Production Support Specialist – 3rd Shift

We want to expand our talented teams and are excited to be creating a new office in Belfast. We are building teams that are fully functional with leadership, back- and front-end development, data engineering and testing, located in Northern Ireland.
As a Production Support Specialist, you will be essential to supporting overnight processing, ready for Trading Markets to open in the U.S.A. This is an early morning support shift based in the U.K.
What you will do all day:
Support and maintain transaction data processing
Improve client and vendor experience through quick and effective issue resolution
Maintain internal SLO’s for any overnight or start of day services
Implement & maintain instrumentation / visualizations
Identify trends, or areas of opportunity for improvement and recommend improvements
Reduce escalations to senior support staff
Decrease frequency and severity of application incidents
Working hours UK 03:00 – 12:00, Tuesday to Saturday
What you need to succeed:
The permanent right to live and work in the U.K.
A good numerate/science focused degree including (but not limited to) Mathematics, Physics, Engineering and Computer Science; or qualified to HNC level or above plus significant experience
Experience using and supporting various monitoring and visualisation tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus, ELK Stack, Nagios, Data Dog, etc)
Experience supporting Enterprise job scheduler software / workflow automation tools (e.g., Tidal, Control-M, JAMS)
Experience in OS troubleshooting skills (Linux and Windows)
Comprehension of networking foundation
Understanding of core routing and switching concepts, standards and protocols
Strong scripting comprehension
Moderate experience with a major clustered or replicated database (MSSQL and/or NoSQL)
The ability to learn new and unfamiliar technologies quickly, as required.
Adaptability: while you enjoy establishing process and standards, you understand the need to be flexible and enjoy trying new things
Work well in a geographically distributed tech organization spanning multiple disciplines – Support, Engineering, SRE, Data
