Provide support to the experienced engineers with routine maintenance work, changing fluids and lubricating parts etc, on a varied range of equipment used within the business.
You will be required to take all reasonable steps to safeguard your Health and Safety and that of any other person who may be affected by your actions.
If you become aware that any of the equipment used within the business, may be faulty, it is your responsibility to immediately report to the experienced engineers or to the Workshop Manager in order that it may be repaired or replaced.
You will be expected to show a basic skill and have a positive attitude for any job you have been asked to assist with.
Ensure all relevant documents are filled in correctly and on time.

Ideally candidates will hold GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) in maths and English - or equivalent qualifications, e.g. Functional Skills.

Due to the handling of the product, equipment used and the order requirements, it is essential that all workers:
Arrive at the agreed time at the workshop or designated meeting point
Dress in suitable clothing appropriate for the work and the weather
Conform to the company hygiene policy and wear the correct personal protective equipment when necessary. Smoking, eating, drinking and chewing gum is only permitted in the designated areas
This apprenticeship incorporates day release at our Rodbaston Campus (ST19 5PH)
