Role: Junior Back-end Developer
Based: Remote (North West-based with regular travel to Warrington office post-lockdown)
Reporting To: Lead Developer

We are looking for a junior back-end developer who wants to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic
environment, where everyone’s opinions and efforts are valued. You will join a talented, cross-
functional team who are responsible for building performant and great looking applications across
both web and mobile platforms. You will receive dedicated support to help you to progress within
your role, working on our flagship application.
You will be supported in fulfilling the following responsibilities:
Integrating user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic
Building reusable code and libraries for future use
Optimising applications for maximum speed and scalability
Implementing security and data protection
Designing and implementing data storage solutions
Maintaining code and writing unit tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
Essential skills for this role include:
Demonstrable experience of C# .Net (preferably .Net Core)
Some experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Working knowledge of Visual Studio
Experience with REST API development
Desirable skills for this role include:
Experience with cloud platforms and familiarity with Azure
Experience of unit testing
Understanding of server-side CSS preprocessors, such as LESS and SASS

keep your skills current
Work well within a team environment and enjoy working in the office with your colleagues
The working week consists of 40 hours, which are flexible as long as you cover core business hours
of 10:00am-4:00pm each day. You may be asked to work outside these hours from time to time as
the needs of the business arise. We’re all working from home at the moment however, when we
begin to return to ‘normality’, we expect to work from our office in Warrington anywhere between 1
to 3 days per week. We’ll be pretty flexible with office days but please take this into account if you
live outside the North West area. Other than the minimum requirement of meeting up once a
week, you can work wherever you want (just make sure you have good internet access)!
