We are looking for automotive geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) engineers to join our latest project team in order to help our client prepare for a new product. We are looking for multiple roles across production and manufacturing GD&T.
The selected candidates are likely to have experiences in processing, supplier management, quality and production conformity to ensure the highest quality of product is delivered and maintained throughout production. We expect candidates to manage and plan their respective areas while also ensuring shutdown activities related to project activity are achieved.
Working within an implementation team candidates will be expected to work autonomously and with experts that can be remote, being the onsite presence this will be required to ensure all new processes, machines and components achieve the clients required quality standards.
Minimum of HNC/HND ideally in an engineering discipline or relevant experience/ recognised apprenticeship in an engineering discipline
3 to 15 years experience in a production orientated GD&T role
Highly analytical, diligent and data orientated
Autonomous natured, energetic “can-do” attitude. Thrive in challenging projects and timelines
MS Office or equivalent, specific project management tools (e.g. MS Project)
Excellent communications as roles are located on clients site
Multi-discipline experience e.g. experience of 3+ manufacturing processes or areas (body, paint, GA)
Ensured GD&T conformity in a project with new manufacturing line or processes
Leadership of small 2-5 person teams of implementation engineers
Project management qualification
Automotive OEM background
Experience of working with design teams
Previously a defined leadership role (e.g. vehicle compliance leader)
Specialism in topics such as isostatism, conformity, supplier defect monitoring, gap & flush, sealing etc
