This is a fantastic opportunity to work within the Product Engineering Team based in Dundee . This is a multi-discipline team developing and supporting the production of ATM’s (Automated Teller Machine). Each ATM combines a range of financial Self-Service modules that are packaged to deliver complex transactions in a wide variety of environments.
We are seeking a Graduate Systems Engineer who will help in developing the electrical system within the ATM. The successful candidate will get a chance to work on a wide range of modules including PC Cores, Card-readers and complex media handling units. A key differentiator of the NCR ATM is its world leading availability combine d with its global accessibility awareness , ease-of-use, servicing strategy and its award win n ing visual appeal.
T he successful candidate w ill be a highly focused , self- motivated individual who already has a keen interest in electronics a nd wants to extend their knowledge and skills . The successful candidate should have some knowledge of:
Harness design – development of a product cabling solution. Key areas include component selection, modern assembly techniques, CAD based routing and racking solutions.
A nalogue and digital electronics
PCB development and test, including schematic entry.
Stepper & DC motor control
I nternational test standards, including safety and EMC.
Various lab test equipment experience (meters, oscilloscopes, Logic analysers )
An ability to manage time effectively and work within tight deadlines.
Experience with using Cadence, Creo and Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum 2.1 or higher ( or equivalent ) in one of the following engineering discipline s : Electronics, Physics or related subject
Relevant Work experience in a similar engineering role would be an advantage
With support and mentoring from one of our senior engineers, the successful candidate will:
Develop ATM system interconnect diagrams
Design harness solutions, prepare harness drawings and work closely with development vendors.
Prototype parts and support build phase
Support test phases
Support for planning and project reporting
Prepare documentation, procurement specifications, Functional specifications, test reports.
