Apprentice IT Security Engineer - Level 6 Cyber Security
The Apprentice IT Security Engineer will join cyber security, information assurance and information management professionals in our Security & Assurance team, and work alongside colleagues in IT Operations and the wider organisation. You’ll maintain systems and controls, respond to incidents, develop and use scripts and monitoring techniques, assess for vulnerabilities and risks, develop and maintain a security knowledge base, and contribute to wider information security and assurance practices. Over time, you will take a lead role in security engineering within IT Operations.

You will be required to attend on campus for 1 day per week at University Square Campus, Luton. Please ensure that you are able to travel to Luton from your home address before applying for the role. Travelling costs for this will be reimbursed.
This Level 6 degree apprenticeship opportunity is suitable for a wide variety of people: you may have A-levels or have completed an advanced (Level 3) or higher (Level 4) apprenticeship, or you may have other experience and skills. Ideally, you will already have an initial knowledge and understanding of IT and cyber security.
