To design automotive seating system components and assemblies to ensure compliance to customer and industry standards using Catia V5/V6. Candidate should be capable of taking a systems engineering approach defining requirements, datum systems, GD&T and giving full consideration for product cost and manufacturing feasibility. Design of packaging architecture, structures, mechanisms, injection moulded plastics, foam and trim assemblies will all be part of the product portfolio. Strong conceptual design capability with a proven track record of achievement is essential.

List of Responsibilities:
Design and package of Seating systems and associated components in compliance to customer, legal and industry standards.
Ensure designs are suitable for supplier and plant manufacture / assembly.
Preparing of engineering change proposals with associated studies.
Participating in customer and supplier design meetings.
Strong complex surfacing & solid modeling (subject to a cad test)
100% accuracy of CAD to 2D and 3D.
100% Support of the Lear PLM Releasing System.
Provide Component / Assembly Engineering Drawings in line with Lear, OEM and industry standards.
Review, sign-off and support the release of Directed Source and Supplier released Drawings within the Lear PLM System.
Support, co-ordinate and audit, Low Cost Country off shoring as required.
Fulfill customer engineering project time lines for release of designs and drawings for manufacture
