An exciting opportunity for a driven, high potential individual to help develop a new business and market for Kainos plc (LSE:KNOS), one of the UK’s fastest growing technology companies. This is a new business sales role and leadership role in the newly established Artificial Intelligence (AI) practice.

Kainos is well placed to help its customers apply AI to their business problems because of its strong track record in digital transformation.
The opportunity in the medium term (3-5 years) is for Kainos to become a recognised leader in the delivery of transformational AI products and services for the UK. This will build on our customer base and AI successes already in UK public sector and healthcare with a strong focus on the commercial sectors. To support this Kainos is investing in AI skills and leadership. Together this represents an enormous business opportunity for Kainos.
The sales specialist role is a key leadership role in this new practice, reporting to the AI Practice Director and will,
Help develop the ‘go to market’ strategy for our AI offering and take responsibility for all sales & marketing related activities in the new unit.
Manage and take ownership of the AI pipeline, qualifying and prioritising opportunities that will deliver AI sales against target. They will focus on new business opportunities (particularly in the commercial sectors).
Be an individual sales contributor for AI. Manage and report on progress against agreed financial targets including sales and pipeline.
Develop strong partnerships as a source of new business opportunities.
Collaborate with existing sales and account teams to sell AI services to our customers. Contribute to key account planning sessions to ensure AI capability is well promoted and positioned for success
Develop innovative pricing strategies for AI services.
Promote Kainos externally as an AI leader, developing new campaigns and events.
The right person will be a problem solver who is comfortable working in ‘startup’ mode to help shape and sell new AI based offerings to new and existing customers. They will,
Have years proven success in new business sales, have taken accountability for delivering against financial targets.
Have experience working in a small business or startup, developing a new business offering.
Be proficient at consultant-led selling, capable of consulting with senior customers to understand business problems and work with our team to apply AI technology to these.
Have experience working in or selling to the commercial sectors.
Be customer success focused, with proven ability to help customers deliver value from technology.
Be aware of the potential of AI/ML technologies and cognitive services.
Collaborate well with AI subject matter experts and engineers.
Be able to travel to meet customers and members of the AI Practice (weekly travel within the UK & Ireland will be required).
